She decided that the lighter fare of soups, salads and sandwiches offered an alternative to the renowned burgers next door. The soups are of course the attraction—some of them go requested by fans a week in advance, who call asking, “Could you reserve a pint of the beef stew for me?” In fact, the chef’s father comes in once a week to make the beef stew because he trusts it to no one else.

I ordered seamless 3-4 days a week and I can say that this was the worst delivery ever. Chicken quesadilla was a everything but a quesadilla. Besides tasting very bad, it had some kind of sand (or dirt) inside it. The carrot juice was good, but it was spread all over the quesadilla. Very bad service and quality. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!! You can find this kind of stuff in other places and much better...

Restaurants should either have what they advertise on their menu or change the menu. It's so frustrating to make an order, then have a place call and force substitutions. sick and tired of it.

We ordered 2 wraps and 2 orders of fries. The first time the order came, they only delivered the fries. After I called, the man on the phone said that they would send new wraps. 45 minutes later, wraps showed up, and they were clearly not new wraps - they had just redelivered the wraps that they had forgotten 1.5 hours before. And because of that the chicken salad was warm and gross and the other chicken wrap was chewy and slimy from sitting in dressing forever. DON'T GO HERE!

Salads are excellent - shimp gumbo soup is not very good, but every other soup we've had has been great! They deliver pretty quickly and prices are fair (for the neighborhood especially). We order at least 2 or 3 times a week from here at my office - def recommend!

Only thing worth having here is their soups .. Empanadas were disgusting and a complete ripoff at $4 EACH. Ordered their fish sticks once....$9 for six fish sticks that tasted purely of bread. What a ripoff this place is. Never again...

I live less than 10 blocks away and the food took over an hour to arrive. When I called to ask where the food was, I was given a curt response of "It's on its way, hon". Horrible customer service and mediocre food. I will never order from them again.

Awful. The beef chili was so bereft of beef that I thought I ordered the vegetarian chili until I realized the little pieces at the bottom of the chili were supposed to be beef. The mulligatawny soup was a joke and the enchilada was so OILY when it came that I couldn't pick it up. Everything tasted bad and flavorless. Very, very disappointing.

Their butternut squash soup is amazing and their tuna salad is just right! This is my new favorite winter soup place! Their create your own salad is great too. ***UPDATE: It was 5 stars, now it's 3. Just got their $8 "buffalo" wings, they were TINY and NOT buffalo. Also, their apple pie tasted like it has been sitting in a basement for a while.***

Soup Stop is delicious! They have different soups everyday, some of which are very interesting and yummy. They also have great salads (and they're not stingy on toppings)! I also love their chicken fingers :)

Soup Stop has the best chopped salads in the area. The salads are huge. A good variety of toss-ins and comes with fresh baked bread. A little different than the common chopped salads that other restaurants serve. When I'm hungry for a big salad, Soup stop is the way to go.

I didn't love the empanada but the Chicken Quesadilla is a MUST-TRY. My husband thinks the portion size is too small, but I think it is perfect. And it comes with a trio of dipping sauces= fresh salsa, delicious guacamole and rich sour cream. Get one (only $6) or maybe two...you won't be disappointed.

The eggs were still hot when they arrived (13 blocks and 4 avenues over!) and the make-your-own salads are delicious- fresh, generous (even with avocado, which a lot of restaurants are stingy with). Yum!

The variety is great, the food is pretty good. Its a great alternative to pizza and chinese take-out. Their big salads are huge and will feed you a couple days. Make sure you turn your oven on after you order in case you need to reheat anything when the order comes, especially burger and fries.

The tomato blue cheese soup was extremely thick almost like tomato paste, not very good. The chicken quesadilla had a strange cheese, maybe american? Not very good either. They give you sour cream, salsa (good), and guac, which is more than most places do these days. I had high hopes, I don't plan to order again.

Ordered a custom salad and an omelette. The salad was crisp and fresh. The omelette was OK, lots of stuff inside and not overwhelmed by egginess. But on the other hand it could have used some salt and pepper and the toast was soggy (probably as it was wrapped in tin foil). I guess it's hard to deliver crisp toast. Delivery was fast.

The Butternut Sqsh soup was more like sweet potatoe puree, i couldnt eat it & the smoothie taste like orange juice that say in ice all day. i only ate it cause i already had spent the money. No bueno.

Delicious and healthy! All the soups I've tried so far are incredible - especially the squash pear soup. The smoothies and juices are very refreshing. Think this is about to become my new favorite delivery place.

Love it. I order from here all the time. All the soups I've tried are excellent. The chicken monelete wrap is one of my standbys. But what really makes soup stop one of my favorites is that anytime I'm not feeling well, all I want is their chicken noodle soup. It reminds me of what home would have been like if my mom had cooked things from scratch :)

What a horrible meal. I ordered an omelette, two eggs over easy and an apple-carrot-ginger juice. When I placed the order I specifically asked that they not use very much ginger in the juice. The food arrived cold. The eggs over easy looked like a car had run over them. When I took a sip of the juice my mouth felt like it was on fire there was so much ginger in it. That's all you could taste. Gross awful meal.

I ordered on a Sunday morning at 9:40am. Delivery estimate was 25-40mins. I called after 45mins and spoke with someone who was difficult to understand. After 2 mins he located my order and said "it's busy this morning, sorry, 5 mins". I called back 25 mins later and he said that it was on the way. Finally arrived 1hr20mins after original order time. Our breakfast wraps were good and the order was correct. The homefries were subpar.

Food was fine. But since when does it take an hour to deliver? I had called after 40 minutes and was told that food was on the way, then got a call 10 minutes later to confirm my location (suggesting that food had not been on the way). And then my order was missing a soda. So now I'm hungry and thirsty.

I'm a big fan of the chicken ceasar wrap and shakes. The chicken soup is among the better ones, although not great. It was WAY too salty, but the chicken tasted fresh and there was more than just a couple of pieces. The beef & cheddar empanada was good, but there's no way I'll pay $4 for an empanada again. Their fresh squeezed juices are quite good too.

Soup was decent, I'll give them that because everything else I ordered was sub-par. Not only did they get my order wrong- I asked them to hold the toast but give me burnt homefries and yup, got toast and under-done potatoes, I ordered well down bacon and it was undercooked UNHEALTHY! and my omelet with mushrooms and cheese had....yup..NO MUSHROOMS! If you want decent soup, go to the store and get it. Avoid everything else.

I recently had the Moroccan chicken soup from here. It was among the best soups that I've ever had! Just perfectly seasoned, hot, delicious--a real find! I thought I'd be ordering it regularly but learned that the soups change every da, so I recently ordered another soup from them--the lentil chickpea. Unfortunately, II found it to be only mediocre. Based on the Moroccan chicken soup, I'm giving them 4 stars. If the next soup had been as good, I'd give give them 5.

Blazing fast delivery (got our food in 3 minutes one night) and the best rotating soup selection on the UWS. Our standard go-to when we just need something cheap, fast, and yummy. I imagine we'll keep them in business during winter.

Soups are bad, mostly filled with thick chunks of potatos and carrots and lots and lots of onions. There is hardly any flavor. Stick to the sandwiches and avoid their soups unless you want you clam chowder and chicken noodle to have no clam or chicken and only big chunky vegetables, particularly if you like lots of onions.

The food arrived warm and delicious. I recommend the chicken noodle soup, the lentil soup, and Manolete (grilled chicken, eggplant, yellow squash & hummus). The delivery was just a few minutes later than they estimated.

Alright...So the soup was great. (Azteca something or other...) But what totally topped it off for me was the great bread and apple that was in my delivery. I was totally amazed at the taste, and value. Also they delivered a good forty blocks or so out of their way. Amazing

I live around the corner from this place, and it took forever, and the food was gross. Even the black & white cookie in plastic wrap that they brought me was disgusting. It had to have been several weeks old - it reeked!

after waiting for 50 minutes for my food to arrive (it said 15-30 minutes) i called. i told them the problem and they put me on hold for 10 minutes (ironic considering i was upset about waiting) he came back and mumbled something i couldnt understand into the phone. i said what and he hung up on me. i then waited another 30 minutes before the food came. of course by then the soup was cold. an hours and a half for cold soup was a very bad deal.

Food came pretty fast but i did order just before closing. I was given no straw with my smoothie. The smoothie which was supposed to have blueberries, bananas and strawberries tasted like nothing at all, just ice. The sandwich (express) was bland as well. I ordered on a hero this thing was about eight inches. These guys suck pretty hard
